A great closure, like a great wine, requires the finest ingredients intelligently made.

Each Neocork starts with the purest proven FDA and EU compliant polymers rather than a combined mix of additives and fillers that would be a potential source of sensory degradation.

Next, we process those pure ingredients through our patented co-extrusion process allowing unprecedented precision in tracking critical production parameters. Unlike previous generation manufacturing methods which rely on traditional batch processing to remove bad products after a batch is made; Neocork builds quality into the manufacturing process. We call this Quality by Design.

With our patented co-extrusion, measuring and monitoring takes place during the manufacture.  So as a batch of highly resilient foamed inert resin is seamlessly bonded to Neocork’s insertion/extraction-friendly patented outer skin, diameter and roundness are continuously monitored by non-contact laser gauging.  So are skin thickness and integrity.  Neocork density is continuously checked by ultrasound measurements.  As for length and cut quality, not only are variables logged and analyzed, but process capability is continuously tracked, logged and archived. 

It’s no surprise, then, that every Neocork can be traced back to every production step, even back to specific lots of raw materials.  In other words, we can guarantee that Neocork #1 will be the same as Neocork #111 and Neocork #111,111,111.
