Neocork Technologies understands your winery's requirements for food safety compliance and product traceability in adhering to BRC, HAACP, IFS audit requirements.

This is why we maintain strict Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and True Lot Traceability in all of our manufacturing and production practices and take pride in our recent AIB Superior Rating. This system, adapted from the electronics industry, allows us to track every cork back to the original raw material.

Tracing back from the cork
Tracing raw material from the individual cork is accomplished by the fact that each Neocork, or 1,000 ct. bag of Neocork, has a Sales Order number printed on it which references a lot number, operator name, print line, date and time of production.

+ The date / time / operator information allows us to reference which batch of ink and coating was used and from what box (of 40,000 corks) the raw cork is drawn.

+ The box number for raw cork references the lot number, keyed to production date, time, and incoming materials lot numbers that were used for that particular "batch". Additionally, the critical variables for extrusion are also logged and keyed to the box number.

+ So for each S.O. number, we can identify the ink and coating batch, box of raw corks and raw materials lots used for the original extrusion of those corks.

+ Production records also log the critical variables measured in the ongoing QA process. The critical variables for extrusion are also logged and keyed to the box number.

This allows our winery customers to trace Neocork lots to their daily bottling batches or even individual bottles when recording our supplied data into their daily bottling records.
